Stuart is a technically skilled nuclear safety assessor with over 35 years’ experience in the nuclear sector across safety case, engineering substantiation and project management in the nuclear industry. These skills were gained in the new build, civil, defense and decommissioning sectors and include design, construction and commissioning phases in some of the major nuclear licensed sites, for example major Defence Contractors, Rolls Royce and Sellafield.
Lately this experience has been used to support the radiopharma industry in the design and develop of both process and plant, working closely with colleagues in both North America and Europe.
The mechanical engineering and design background combined with project management skills have enabled him to perform pivotal roles in ensuring comprehensive design and safety integration across many projects using practical, proportionate and pragmatic solutions wherever possible.
Recent tasks Stuart has worked on include:
• Remediation of facilities at Sellafield
• Leading a team of safety and radiological personnel during the concept design of a radiopharma facility for North America.
