Ian Jones
Director - Engineering
Ian has over 20 years’ nuclear engineering experience, with an excellent history of successful engineering project development and delivery. He has solved complex process engineering challenges across a range of international nuclear sites, in a wide variety of projects.
Within DBD, as Principal Engineer, Ian leads a diverse team of engineers, committed to delivering innovative technical solutions for our clients and prides himself on his ability to introduce innovative solutions to help accelerate delivery, an example being on the Evaporator D project, where he generated, designed and implemented a solution for an emergent on-plant vessel ventilation issue, that would otherwise have threatened project progress & costs.
Recent tasks Ian has worked on:
- Delivered design services for multiple clients.
- Led major engineering projects with Intelligent Customer responsibilities for Sellafield Ltd.
- Led the delivery of DBD’s flagship project to assist debris retrievals at Fukushima for TEPCO.
- Leading the expansion of DBD’s Technology Transfer projects into Japan.
