Chief Capability Officer
As a Principal Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 25 years’ experience of operating in global Nuclear and other highly regulated markets, David takes the lead role for the provision of services from DBD.
David has significant experience of leading major projects and enabling innovative solutions for DBD’s clients. His detailed and challenging technical knowledge, tempered with a deep-rooted collaborative nature, together with recent focus on structured technology transfer, means he continues to enable his clients to create, develop and fully take advantage of DBD’s extensive connections in both the UK and International nuclear markets.
At each stage of his career, David has demonstrable evidence of utilising logical approaches to identify unique, innovative but practical new solutions and technologies into projects resulting in tangible savings for our clients.
David is secure in engaging with stakeholders at all levels such as advising UK Government on planning UK nuclear R&D programs via Nuclear Innovation Research Advisory Board (NIRAB) Industry Group, presenting technical arguments to Government. David also prefers to work in collaboration with people and organisations where the value of the collaboration is additive to the team’s performance. He stays at the forefront of industry good practice through a combination of regular review of (and contributions to) professional journals, commitment to CPD via the IChemE and through his extensive network of engineering peers across multiple industry sectors.
