Carrie Rowley
Director - Safety
Carrie is a widely proficient health and safety professional with over 18 years’ experience in safety case production, management and implementation for a variety of clients in the nuclear industry. Within her role as Head of Safety at DBD, she provides assurance support to a wide range of projects at various stages of the project lifecycle in the decommissioning, enrichment, generation, new build and defence sectors.
Whilst being an ardent advocator of safety-led design, she continues to implement a proportionate and pragmatic approach to assurance. Carrie specialises in developing fit for purpose safety cases that demonstrate regulatory compliance with adequate, but not excessive, margin. She forges close relationships with the project team in order to ensure that safety requirements are correctly interpreted and fully understood and an optimal balance between safety, function, programme and cost is accomplished.
Recent tasks Carrie has worked on:
- Delivering £1m assurance support project to AWE.
- Managing the implementation of Continued Operation Safety and Environment support with multitudinous shortfalls.
- Demonstrating constructive leadership via mentoring her team members to develop their careers.
